Listen deeply. Look up and look in." — Shauna Sky

  • I've worked with Shauna on and off over the last 10 years of my Skeleton career, and she has been absolutely brilliant. She has been able to provide me with unique and insightful feedback, which has been of a direct benefit to me. Shauna also has an infectious love for what she does, a belief in the people she works with, and this combined with her vast knowledge and skills makes her not just a fantastic coach/trainer but a pleasure to be around and work with.

    — Ben Sandford (New Zealand Skeleton Athlete & Two-time Winter Olympian)

  • Shauna reinforces the positive and provides the necessary knowledge of performance for athletes to improve at their skill. Her coaching style is organized, task-oriented and direct but at the same time abundantly enthusiastic and personal. It comes as little surprise that she was nominated for the award of Coach of the year in Waikato.

    — Gordon D. Paterson (Professor Waikato Polytechnic NZL)

  • I’m grateful for the opportunity to endorse — in fact, to celebrate — Shauna Sky. I first met Shauna many years ago, as I was finishing radiation treatment for cancer. She brought a holistic, deeply thoughtful approach to supporting me through recovery, and later, in preparing to climb Mount Kilimanjaro the following year. Shauna infuses every session with a genuine joy for living, and her guidance has been invaluable.

    — Brett Wilson

  • Love2Move is by far the best training experience I have ever encountered. It is an extremely genuine and progressive system that produces fantastic results. I would not have had as long a career in the NHL if it were not for Shauna's insight, dedication and talent for coordinating and strengthening body movement. I am both a physically and mentally better person.

    — Todd Simpson (Former NHL Defencemen)

  • Shauna is a role model for all women, young and old. Fitness is one venue that you can witness her celebrating being a fit, happy, successful, and passionate woman! She constantly redefines herself and hence, constantly redefines the role and achievement of a strong 21st Century woman!

    — Dr. Amanda Diep

  • Across my sports career — including five Olympic Teams in both the Summer and Winter Games — I’ve worked with the best of the best. Shauna Sky stands firmly among them. She has shown an unwavering commitment to excellence as an athlete, coach, and team builder. As a skeleton/bobsleigh athlete, she was focused, fiercely competitive, and widely respected. From 1988 to 1994, her total dedication earned admiration from competitors around the world. In a male‑dominated sport, she became both a role model and a pioneer, opening doors for many women who followed. Winning the 1992 Skeleton World Championships was a defining moment in a long run of success, and although women were not yet permitted to compete in Skeleton at the Olympic Games, she was invited as a team delegation member for the 1994 Lillehammer Olympics. Her athletic reputation naturally evolved into a career as an elite coach and personal trainer. Those who have trained under her — in both short‑ and long‑term programs — have benefited from her results‑driven approach. Shauna’s academic background, including an advanced degree in Kinesiology, brings intellectual precision to her teaching, allowing her to translate theory into practical, effective action.

    — Dr. Liston D. Bochette III (Summer & Winter Olympian)

  • I would like to take this opportunity to thank Shauna for sharing her expertise and expanding my understanding of the human body. She taught me how to move and function with greater mental and physical awareness, creating a foundation that elevated my performance as a professional athlete and improved my overall day‑to‑day wellbeing. Her guidance has been invaluable.

Rocco Romano (Calgary Stampeder, CFL Player for 14 Years & CFL Hall of Fame)

  • Shauna is an outstanding athlete, teacher and person of whom I cannot speak too highly. She has developed and taught a range of sport study subjects at diploma and fitness industry training levels, including massage therapy and media skills, peak performance and anatomy and physiology. Shauna's strength is her ability to relate to athletes and explain and apply the scientific concepts associated with sports training and performance. She has supervised many potentially elite and elite student-athletes in their training and acted as counsellor and consultant to help them with their sports performance. Shauna has also gained experience in laboratory testing of students and is competent to perform and report online gas analysis and kinanthropometry measures in athletes.

    — George Duncan (Sports Programme Director, The Waikato Polytechnic, New Zealand)

  • Shauna Sky is a renowned high-performance athletic coach, movement educator, corrective exercise and posture specialist, and some would say, intuitive healer. Shauna has nurtured an innate awareness of "the body electric". Those abilities, combined with the scientific foundation of a Kinesiology degree, a passion for human movement and her vast experience both as an athlete and coach, has resulted in the development of the Love2Move Coaching System. The system is a unique three-step system of assessment and re-education that is designed to guide the participant from dis-ease back to ease. By restoring balance in structure and energy flow, Love2Move can help you to love to move! Aunt Mabel or injured athlete, Love2Move can help you get your life back!

    — Geoff Dakin (Neuromuscular Therapist & Author)

  • I had the good fortune to meet Shauna after years of relying solely on running for fitness. After 15 years, recurring injuries and poor guidance from so‑called experts only made things worse. Shauna’s exceptional understanding of how the body works changed everything. She corrected the mistakes I’d learned — in both weight training and running — and taught me techniques I can use for life. I now understand how to train and stretch properly, and I recommend her to anyone serious about achieving and maintaining top physical condition.

    — Jim Bagshaw (VP Sales & Marketing for the Calgary Flames)

  • Shauna and the Love2Move method literally changed my life. Not only has Shauna helped heal everyone in my family over the years, she has been my mentor, employer, and dear friend. She launched my career in the fitness industry, kept me injury free when dancing professionally, and continues to be a constant shining light in our lives.

Krista Hanson (Dancer & Pilates Instructor)

  • I have been a professional dancer for 35+ years. In the last ten years of my performing career I integrated principles of movement from Shauna Sky's approach. Not only did this improve the development of my strength, power and grace in performance, but I have now fully integrated Shauna's principles, methods and images into my training, and into my practice in teaching contemporary dance technique. Shauna's understanding of the body, and her ability to inspire athletic prowess is beyond compare in all my years of working in the body. I owe to her the longevity of my own dance life, and the entrance into a world of unlimited physical potential.

    — Davida Monk (Dance Teacher & Artist)

  • When I was diagnosed with breast cancer, the first person I turned to was Shauna. I knew from past experience that she could keep me strong in a way that was safe and appropriate for what I was facing. She exceeded every expectation. I truly credit much of my recovery to her. For about a year, we met three times a week, adjusting only when chemo left me too weak. Shauna guided me through gentle, full‑body Pilates that kept my muscles toned and my joints moving. On days when my energy was low, she shifted seamlessly into restorative energy work — something I still don’t fully understand, but I know it helped. Her empathy, humour, and encouragement made every session something I genuinely looked forward to. Shauna’s knowledge of physical training, nutrition, and the human body is exceptional, and her enthusiasm is boundless. I trust her completely.

    — Tania Ritchie

  • I credit Shauna with my newly organized musculoskeletal system! I struggled with chronic low back issues throughout my dance performing career, but once I learned and could apply Shauna’s Love2Move principles, my back issues disappeared. I am now stronger, and more balanced. Whether I am climbing the five flights of stairs to my office, working on a Pilates reformer, lifting weights, or cross-country skiing, Shauna’s voice is in my head coaching me through the basics of proper alignment for proper sequencing of movement. I use her work all the time when I’m teaching students in the Dance Department at the University of Calgary, and when I’m working with senior citizens in the community. Shauna’s work has been developed from decades of hands-on training with athletes, dancers and ordinary people-she is a rare talent, and I am indebted to her for keeping me dancing strong.

    — Anne Flynn (Dance Teacher & Artist)

  • As a long‑term movement specialist, I deeply value Shauna’s commitment to research and her remarkable ability to read the body in motion. As a choreographer, dancer, and professor whose work includes dance pedagogy, I’ve seen firsthand how her expertise enriches our students’ learning. She brings the rare combination of high‑performance coach and intuitive body shaman. I’ve collaborated with Shauna in many contexts — as a lecturer, weight‑loss guide, and personal trainer — and have consistently benefited from her insightful, holistic approach. Her work blends creative imagery, integrated principles, and a strong foundation in healthful movement and nutrition. Through her guidance, I’ve witnessed and experienced genuine transformation. My knowledge is stronger for knowing her, and this dancing body is grateful for the way she unites science and heart in everything she does.

    — Michele Moss (Dance Teacher & Artist)

  • I’ve been incredibly fortunate to train with Shauna. She is an exceptional trainer — versatile, intelligent, disciplined, and genuinely fun to work with. Her deep knowledge of body mechanics and muscle function, combined with her ability to understand each client’s unique needs, inspires confidence and encourages you to push forward while staying grounded. As a lifelong athlete, I had fallen into patterns that were holding me back and putting me at risk of injury. Shauna helped me reconnect with my core, relearn healthy movement, and rebuild habits that support a strong, active life. She has given me the gift of a healthier body, mind, and spirit.
